THE ICONIC x Spring Summer Showcase

For THE ICONIC’s Spring Summer 2019/2020 Campaign, Olivia managed the communications output for the 3 month long campaign alongside a small team.

The campaign involved an art installation in the Whitsundays by the infamous Spencer Tunick. The first element of the campaign involved promoting to potential volunteers the opportunity to be a part of Spencer’s latest artwork. Earned media was secured all over Australia with a focus on regional Queensland media to garner interest from his followers.

The main facet of the campaign was telling the story of the fashion event at The Calile, which saw its most inclusive and diverse runway yet. Representing Australia’s reality on the runway meant featuring Indigenous Australians, plus-size Australians, Muslim Australians, mixed-race Australians, queer Australians, older Australians and Australians who were born somewhere else. The media stories around this positive campaign were endless, with features in Mammamia, Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, Body + Soul and Nine, to name a few.
